A tragic incident killed an Ashdown woman in Little River County.
The rollover crash in Little River occurred on Thursday night when a pickup truck struck another car.
According to troopers, the impact caused both vehicles to overturn.
The deceased in the rollover crash in Little River was identified as Melba Rose, aged 64.
It was revealed that she was entering U.S. 71.
The accident happened at 9:40 p.m. According to the preliminary crash report from state police Rose’s car crossed into the path of a Ford F-150, 2020 make.
Troopers said that Rose’s car, identified as a 2008 Honda Civic, was struck by the truck. Both vehicles rolled over as a result of the crash.
The report adds that the truck struck a Pontiac G6, 2010 make, which was parked in a lot.
According to reports, Rose couldn’t sustain her injuries and she died due to the crash.
The driver of the truck was identified as a Texarkana man, aged 55.
He was rushed to LSU Medical Center in Shreveport, LA for treatment.
Conditions at the time of the accident were dry and clear.
