Motorcyclist Killed Following Cleburne County Crash

A tragic Cleburne County crash claimed the life of a motorcyclist on Sunday, October 10.

According to troopers, the crash occurred in rural Cleburne County, at about 2 p.m.

A motorcyclist, identified as Douglas W. Storey, aged 61, was driving a Harley Davidson, 2003 make.

He was headed Southbound on Arkansas 5 when the crash happened.

According to the state police report, it was revealed that Storey attempted a right curve and crossed the centerline into the traffic towards the northbound lane.

Meanwhile a Buick, 2017 make, headed northbound, was attempting a left curve when the collision occurred.

The front of the motorcycle hit the left-front of the Buick, according to the reports.

Storey suffered severe injuries and died on the spot, authorities said.

The conditions at the time of the Cleburne County crash were clear and dry, as described by the troopers.

According to preliminary figures, around 496 people have lost their lives in fatal crashes on Arkansas roads this year so far.
