A devastating Interstate 40 crash claimed the life of a Sherwood man on Wednesday morning, November 10, according to an Arkansas State Police report.
The deceased was identified as Shawn Collins, aged 36.
Collins was headed east near Atkins on I-40.
While driving his vehicle, identified as a Hyundai, 2013 make, the car began to leave the road towards the left side, according to the report by Arkansas State Police.
Collins tried to regain control over his vehicle and overcorrected.
The vehicle went off on the right side of the interstate.
The car drove over through the grass for some distance before hitting a tree on the driver’s side.
Collins died at the scene of the Interstate 40 crash.
It has been revealed in the police report that the road conditions at the time of the accident were dry and clear.
