Children and Car Accidents: Did you know?

Did you know that motor vehicle crashes were the leading cause of death for children age 4 and children 11 to 14 years old? According to the latest mortality data currently available from the National Center for Health Statistics, the 14-and-younger age group accounted for 1,140 traffic fatalities, 4% of all traffic fatalities in 2011. Additionally, there were 171,000 children age 14 and younger injured in car accidents.

As NWA car accident attorneys, we know that  cases involving children are different and must be treated with understanding. Because insurance companies always want to look at how much an injured person lost in wages, they value cases involving children much less. We, however, do not. We pride ourselves on standing up for children and their families.
