Home » 3 People Die in Roadway Crashes Across the State
On Friday, three people from Arkansas died in roadway crashes across the state, according to the Arkansas State Police reports.
An unfortunate incident occurred at Arkansas 375 West in New Potter.
A Mena resident identified as Jerry Prices, aged 62, was driving east on Polk County Road 48 at 7:20 a.m.
The vehicle he was driving was identified as a Peterbilt truck.
The truck was hit by a southbound train.
The weather conditions were clear and dry at the time of the accident.
A head-on collision occurred in El Dorado at 9:59 a.m. when a Freightliner, 2015 make collided with a Workhorse truck, 2011 model on Arkansas 7.
The driver of the workhorse ejected and died at the spot. The deceased was identified as Eric Stone, aged 51.
The driver of the Freightliner, Choisee Green, aged 35 and a minor passenger suffered injuries and were rushed to South Medical Center.
The weather was cloudy and dry at the time of the accident.
In Benton County, another tragic incident was reported at 1:53 p.m. on Arkansas 279.
Cooley Roger, from Bella Vista, aged 55, was killed when his Kawasaki motorcycle, 2011 make, was struck by a GMC, 2008 make in Centerton.
The GMC driver was identified as Linsley Bethany, aged 33, from Gravette.
While taking a left turn onto North Mount Olive, the driver of GMC struck Roger’s motorcycle.
Roger was traveling southbound on Arkansas 279.
